Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Skylence websites, accounts, APIs, and related software, including the Skyline agent tooling (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, authorizing a device, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.
The Service
We provide developer-facing licensing, authentication, and product features for Skyline and related offerings. Features may change over time. We may offer free trials, paid subscriptions, or other plans as described at checkout or in your account.
Accounts and security
You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and for devices you authorize (for example via device login). Only authorize devices you control. Notify us promptly of unauthorized access.
License to use software
Subject to these Terms and an active entitlement (trial, subscription, or other grant we provide), we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use our client software and CLI tools solely to access the Service. You may not reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, or circumvent license or security controls except where applicable law prohibits that restriction.
Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the Service, probe or disrupt systems, or attempt unauthorized access.
- Do not use the Service to violate law, infringe others' rights, or distribute malware.
- Do not share account credentials or license entitlements in ways that exceed your plan.
- Respect rate limits, API terms, and operational security controls we publish or enforce.
Billing and merchant of record
Paid plans are billed through our payment provider (Paddle) as merchant of record where applicable. Fees, taxes, renewals, and refunds follow the plan terms shown at purchase and Paddle's checkout terms. Failure to pay may result in suspension or loss of entitlement after any grace period we apply.
Intellectual property
We and our licensors retain all rights in the Service, software, branding, and documentation. You retain rights in your own content and code. You grant us a limited license to host and process your account data as needed to provide the Service, as described in ourPrivacy Policy.

Disclaimer and liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim (or, if you are on a free trial only, fifty euro). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer rights.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account as described in product settings. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, legal risk, non-payment, or misuse. Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and liability limits) survive termination.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date on this page and, where appropriate, additional notice. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, except where mandatory law requires a different process.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Belgian courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections and venue rules that apply where you live.
